In the Southeast Asian region, Vietnam remains behind Thailand, ranked 11th globally, and Indonesia, at 23rd. The players are now engaged in training camps in preparation for the qualifiers of the 2026 AFC Futsal Asian Cup, scheduled from September 16 to September 24.
Meanwhile, the national women’s futsal team has maintained its position at 11th in the world rankings after exiting at the quarter-final stage of the 2025 AFC Women’s Futsal Asian Cup.
Within Southeast Asia, they are second only to Thailand. The women’s team will soon begin a training camp ahead of the 33rd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 33), set to take place in Thailand this December.
The next FIFA futsal rankings are scheduled for release on December 12.
