Vietnamese athletes bag 10 medals at 2025 Asian Youth Games

VOV.VN - Vietnamese athletes added two more medals on October 26, raising the country’s total to 10 after four days of competition at the 2025 Asian Youth Games (AYG) in Bahrain.
In the women’s 48kg muay event (ages 14–15), Nguyen Thi Thu Phuong claimed a silver medal after losing 26-30 to Rozhan Behnami of Iran in the final. Meanwhile, weightlifter Dao Thi Yen secured a bronze medal in the women’s 44kg category with a total lift of 141kg.
Earlier, Vietnam earned four silver medals in golf, athletics, and taekwondo, along with four bronze medals in muay and taekwondo.
So far, the Vietnamese delegation has collected five silver and five bronze medals, temporarily ranking 22nd overall.
The 2025 Asian Youth Games, which gather young athletes from more than 40 countries and territories, will conclude on October 31.
