VOV.VN - Statistics from the Japan Volleyball Championship (SV League) show that Tran Thi Thanh Thuy is among the 10 best players in the tournament.
Last weekend, Thanh Thuy starred for Gunma Green Wings, helping the club secure back-to-back wins in rounds 5 and 6 of the SV League. Gunma defeated PFU Blue Cats 3-1 and 3-2 (under SV League rules, each pairing plays twice per week).
Thanh Thuy scored 21 and 23 points in the two matches, earning the Most Valuable Player award in the first game.
After six rounds, she has accumulated a total of 99 points, making significant contributions to Gunma Green Wings’ three victories, which lifted the team to seventh place in the Japanese Championship standings.
Her performance has also propelled her into the top rankings of the SV League’s individual statistics. In the total points leaderboard, Thanh Thuy ranks ninth out of 88 players. Within Gunma Green Wings, she is second only to Polish star Rozanski.
Additionally, she ranks seventh in attack efficiency at 44%, again second on her team behind Rozanski. Thanh Thuy’s consistent standout performances have elevated her from an initially underestimated foreign player to one of Gunma Green Wings’ leading stars.
