VOV.VN - A new cold air mass combined with a low-pressure trough crossing the northcentral region has forced residents of the capital to wrap up in an extra layer of clothing to stay warm.
With the capital forecast to see temperatures drop to between 21 degrees Celsius and 24 degrees Celsius, local people must dig into their wardrobes before heading out in order to retrieve a coat suitable for the cold weather.
New cold air on the morning of October 2 forces residents to find suitably warm clothing before going out to brave the cold weather.
Due to the impact of the cold snap, it turns cold with rain at night and early in the morning in the northern region, including in the capital city.
Locals wrap up in thick layers of clothing and put on face masks in a bid to avoid the cold breeze whilst travelling by motorbike around Hanoi.
Students don long-sleeved shirts while heading to school on time.
The new cold snap is forecast to send temperatures tumbling to a low of 20 degrees Celsius to 21 degrees Celsius in the lowlands and 16 degrees Celsius in the highlands over the next few days.
Some people share that they can’t fully adapt to the weather conditions when it suddenly turns cold. Indeed, many choose to travel by bus to avoid the cold air.
Many Hanoians go out to the street in warm clothes.
Others also prepare face masks and gloves to keep them warm.
According to the National Centre for Hydrometeorological Forecasting, during this cold spell the weather in the northern and northcentral regions turn cool, with chilly nights lasting until the mornings, especially at high altitudes.
The cold spell is forecast to last until October 9.
