VOV.VN - Young fashion designer Phan Dang Hoang presented his collection, which draws inspiration from poonah paper, known locally as Dó paper, at the Milan Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2025 exhibition "The Soul of Nation".
Designer Phan Dang Hoang, 25, exhibits his latest collection "ZigZag", which is inspired from traditional materials such as Dó paper, at Milan Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2025 held in Italy.
The collection features a total of 11 designs in different colours such as black, white, blue, and brown which are considered to be hot trends of colours this year.
The designer uses Dó paper as one of materials of the collection. Through the exhibition he hopes to promote the art of making Dó paper in Hanoi’s 500-year-old Yen Thai craft village to the world.
Milan Fashion Week is one of the 'Big Four' global fashion weeks, alongside New York, Paris, and London. Hoang was the only Vietnamese designer to participate in this year's event, which took place from February 25 to March 3.
This year's event draws plenty of attention from experts and fashion lovers in Italy.
Hoang graduated from the Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti in Milan. His collection highlighting Vietnamese women was featured in Vogue Italy in 2022. He debuted his first collection at Milan Fashion Week 2023. In May 2024, Hoang was named in Forbes' 30 Under 30 Asia list for The Arts, recognising him as one of the most influential young artists in Asia.
