According to the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), the national team will face India and Lebanon on October 9 and October 15, respectively. Elsewhere, a fixture played between India and Lebanon will get underway on October 12.

The VFF are set to announce the venue for all three matches in the near future. Previously, during a friendly tournament held ahead of the 2022 AFF Cup in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam defeated India 3-0 before trouncing Singapore 4-0.

At the 2024 ASEAN Cup, Vietnam will take on Indonesia alongside the Philippines, Myanmar, and Laos in Group B.

The 2024 ASEAN Cup is scheduled to take place from November 23 to December 21. In each group, five teams will play in a round robin format, with each team playing two home matches and two away games.

After the group stage, the top two teams from each group will then advance to the semi-finals, before then competing in a home-away format.
