Yin Loon Eain (Myanmar) surprisingly scored a goal in the ninth minute before Ngoc Minh Chuyen (Vietnam) earned an equalizer with a header 35 minutes later.

After the break, coach Akira Ijiri’s Vietnamese players carved out many scoring chances but they all failed.

The 1-1 draw sent the two team to the extra time, and Le Thi Trang receiving the ball from her teammate quickly finished a beautiful cross to raise the score to 2-1. 

With the 2-1 win, the Vietnamese girls progressed through to the final match, and their opponents will be winners of another semi-final match between hosts Indonesia and their archrivals Thailand.
