VOV.VN - Large crowds of elaborately dressed revelers gathered at Bui Vien pedestrian street in District 1, the most popular road in Ho Chi Minh City’s backpacker area, to celebrate Halloween.
Ordinarily, a Halloween celebration is held on the last day of October. In Vietnam, it has become common for many people to celebrate on October 30. Youngsters and foreigners gather together in groups and draw the attention of passers-by.
Pubs and restaurants along the street are decorated in the spirit of the celebration.
Ho Chi Minh City’s backpacker area is decorated to feature skeletons and other peculiar things.
Many restaurants are decorated with festive items such as pumpkins and ghostly figures.
Locals pose together as they wear colorful masks.
