VOV.VN - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh in Hanoi on June 20 met with Russian President Vladimir Putin who is on a two-day state visit to Vietnam.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh receives Russian President Vladimir Putin in Hanoi on June 20 following a welcome ceremony for top Russian leader chaired by President To Lam.
The Russian leader and his high-ranking delegation arrived at Noi Bai International Airport on June 19 night, starting a state visit to Vietnam from June 19-20 at the invitation of General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong.
Earlier on June 20 noon, Vietnamese President To Lam chaired a welcome ceremony for Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Presidential Palace in Hanoi, with 21-cannon salute, the highest level for a head of state.
The Russian President’s state visit to Vietnam this year is made amid both nations celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Treaty on the Principles of the Friendly Relations and on the threshold of the 75th anniversary of the bilateral diplomatic ties in 2025.

Ahead of the talks, the two leaders visit a photo exhibition showcasing the joint friendship relations.
Desserts are served at the talks between Vietnamese and Russian leaders.
