Hundreds of households in Dong Nai flooded with power cut off following storm

VOV.VN - Hundreds of households throughout the southern province of Dong Nai were left submerged in floodwater on October 29, with many areas left without power due to impact of Trami, the sixth storm this year to hit Vietnam.
Dong Nai province is submerged under one to two metres of water after three days of heavy rain brought on by Trami, which made landfall on October 27.
Hundreds of households in Phuoc Tan ward of Bien Hoa city in Dong Nai province are left flooded due to the continuous heavy rain coupled with the rapidly rising floodwaters coming from upstream.
All affected households are evacuated for the safety of local people.
Local authorities prepare essential goods in order to assist residents to cope with the prolonged downpour and flooding.
Water from the upstream area of Buong river poured into Bien Hoa, leading to dangerous conditions, according to local authorities.
Many schools in Phuoc Tan ward are forced to suspend classes on October 29. In total, over 3,000 students are not attending school due to the extreme weather.
