Upon addressing the press conference, Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa, director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, emphasised that the event will take place from December 4 to December 10 at several locations around the city with a series of cultural, sporting, and tourism activities.

The highlight of the programme will be the sixth Techcombank Ho Chi Minh City International Marathon slated for December 8 to December 10, with the occasion set to attract 14,000 top domestic and international athletes.

In response to the occasion, the race will include a range of activities as part of efforts to enhance environmental protection whilst reducing plastic waste.

During the course of the week a number of new tourism products will be launched for the first time, such as night tourism and thematic tourism products.

Furthermore, the southern city's tourism industry also launched a contest aimed at designing a tourist check-in model and a symbol of Ho Chi Minh City tourism to seek creative ideas and to ramp up tourism promotion activities for the city.
