German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and his wife arrived on the morning of January 23 in Hanoi to mark the start of their two-day state visit to the nation at the invitation of President Thuong and his wife.

Water puppet shows feature scenes reflecting rural landscapes, bamboo trees, and traditional activities such as fishing and rice cultivation.
