Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva arrived in Hanoi on March 27 afternoon, beginning his three-day State visit to Vietnam at the invitation of President Luong Cuong.
This marks President Lula da Silva’s second visit to Vietnam, 17 years after his first trip in 2008.
The two State leaders stand on the podium while military bands play the national anthems of both nations.
Both leaders review the guards of honour of the Vietnamese People's Army.
His visit is also the first state visit by a foreign head of state to Vietnam in 2025, demonstrating Vietnam’s appreciation for the Brazilian President and the Vietnam-Brazil relationship.
The visit highlights the continuous development of ties between the two countries and their shared commitment to effectively implementing the Vietnam-Brazil Strategic Partnership framework.
They hold talks immediately after the welcome ceremony.
