VOV.VN - The national broadcaster, Voice of Vietnam (VOV), clinched three prestigious awards at the third National Press Award on the National Assembly (NA) and People's Councils, known as the Dien Hong Award, held in Hanoi on January 5.
Those in attendance at the event include top Vietnamese legislator Tran Thanh Man, former NA leaders, members of the NA committees, as well as leaders from central and local ministries, agencies, and sectors.
This is an important event, marking the 79th anniversary of the first general election to elect the National Assembly of Vietnam (January 6, 1946 – January 6, 2025).
In his address, NA Chairman Tran Thanh Man praises the journalistic works for their new, creative, engaging, and convincing approach, which have been well-received by readers and highly evaluated by the judging panel.
The top Vietnamese legislator notes that many articles highlight the efforts and determination to innovate, improve the quality of operations, and achieve important and fairly comprehensive results across various aspects of the legislature's work in 2024.
The organising board hand over eight A prizes, 15 B prizes, 20 C prizes, and 40 consolation prizes to the works which are chosen from 4,079 entries of 163 press agencies nationwide. Journalists of VOV’s Current Affairs Channel, VOV1, win the A prize in the radio category.

Most notably, journalists of VOV.VN bag the B prize in the online newspaper category.

Among the winners of the consolation prizes, VTC Digital Television wins the television category.
The organising board also presents Certificates of Merit to 20 units for their significant contributions to the third Dien Hong Award.
NA Vice Chairman Nguyen Khac Dinh, head of the Dien Hong Award Steering Committee, announces the launch of the 4th Dien Hong Award in 2026. This fourth edition holds significant importance in promoting the 80-year journey of building, developing, and continuously innovating the National Assembly of Vietnam, in alignment with the patriotic emulation movement to celebrate the Party Congresses at all levels, leading up to the 14th National Party Congress.
