VOV.VN - The Voice of Vietnam (VOV) was honored with one first prize, one second prize, one third prize, and one consolation prize at the 5th National Press Awards on combating corruption, wastefulness, and negative phenomena 2024-2025, held in Hanoi on October 30.

The event is held by Standing Board of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, in coordination with the Vietnam Journalists Association and Vietnam Television.
After two years of implementation, as of July 31, 2025, the Award’s Organizing Committee had received 1,110 journalistic entries in four categories, including print, online, radio, and television, from 90 central and local press agencies. With a spirit of democracy, objectivity, integrity, and high responsibility, members of the Final Jury unanimously selected 44 outstanding works to present four first prizes, ten second prizes, twelve third prizes, and eighteen consolation prizes.
The entries submitted to the 5th Awards are assessed as being closely aligned with the theme, criteria, and regulations of the competition. In particular, the journalistic works comprehensively and promptly reflect the Party and the State’s efforts in the fight against corruption, wastefulness, and negative phenomena, following the consistent principle of persistence, continuity, and having no restricted areas or exceptions. The work “What to do with redundant headquarters?” by authors Mai Kieu Tuyet, Tang Thi Hai Ha, and Nguyen Thi Yen, broadcast on VOV Traffic Information chanel, is honored with the first prize.
Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Internal Affairs, and Standing Deputy Head of the Central Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption, Wastefulness and Negative Phenomena Phan Dinh Trac, together with Party Central Committee member and Vice State President Vo Thi Anh Xuan, present second prizes to the winning authors and author groups.
The VOV Online Newspaper is honored with the second prize for its four-part series titled “Interest groups behind the sale of public land in Thanh Hoa,” authored by Le Ngoc Hai and Phuong Giang.
Party Central Committee member, Vice President and Secretary-General of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, and Party Central Committee member and State Auditor General Ngo Van Tuan present third prizes to the winning authors and author groups.
Party Central Committee member, Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, and President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour Nguyen Dinh Khang, together with Party Central Committee member, Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Information and Education and Commission for Mass Mobilization, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper, and President of the Vietnam Journalists Association Le Quoc Minh, present consolation prizes to the winning authors and author groups.
The winning works are highly topical, capturing emerging issues from real life and reflecting the truth while directly exposing and denouncing individuals and organizations involved in negative acts. Many entries highlight exemplary people and deeds, the courage to fight corruption, wastefulness, and wrongdoing, and demonstrate strong social impact. They also clearly show the supervisory and social criticism roles of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations, as well as the active participation of the people in combating corruption, wastefulness, and negative phenomena.
