Designer Thanh Huong Bui makes her mark at SFW SS26 on October 13 with her latest collection, “Manifeste,” showcasing Truc Chi, a traditional Vietnamese paper art form that brings the essence of Vietnamese culture to the global stage.
Miss Grand Vietnam 2023 Le Hoang Phuong opens the show in an outfit inspired by traditional Vietnamese papermaking techniques, featuring 3D silhouettes and intricate beaded floral embroidery.
With lotus motifs, the designer wishes to introduce the beauty of Vietnam’s national flower to international audiences.
Hoang Thuy, the first runner-up of Miss Universe Vietnam 2017, serves as vedette of the fashion show.
The gold leaf outfit is adorned with hundreds of hand-cut, 3D flowers.
The collection features a colour palette of gold, red, and black, symbolising women’s elegance, as well as prosperity and passion.
The outfit featuring Ao Dai (traditional long dress) on a lacquer painting background draws attention of international audiences.
