Two more gold medals for Vietnam at Asian Jujitsu Championship

VOV.VN - The national jujitsu team secured two additional gold medals after concluding their competition in the U16 category at the second Asian Jujitsu Youth Championship 2025, held in Thailand on February 14.
The women’s 36kg category witnessed a bout between two Vietnamese fighters Tuyet Nhu and Dan Thuy in the final, with the gold medal going to Nhu.
A similar situation occurred in the final round of the women’s 44kg category. With better skills and great determination, Hoang Thuong managed to bring a gold medal after defeating Ngoc Han.
Vietnamese fighters also secured 10 silver and 15 bronze medals to rank third overall in the U16 category. Elsewhere, Thailand topped the medal tally with 14 gold, six silver, and seven bronze medals.
The second Asian Jujitsu Youth Championship 2025 kicked off in Thailand on February 12 and will run until February 16.
A total of 536 athletes from 26 teams worldwide are competing in the male and female competitions in the U14, U16, and U18 categories. In the U14 category, Vietnam bagged seven gold, eight silver, and 18 bronze medals, ranking third in the medal tally.
Vietnam’s youth jujitsu team comprises of 48 fighters in total, with competitors continuing to vie for medals in the U18 category from February 15 to February 16.
