VOV.VN - Vietnamese striker Nguyen Xuan Son, aka Rafaelson, tops the list of Vietnamese footballers with the highest market value at EUR700,000, which is EUR200,000 higher than before, according to renowned German football site Transfermarkt.

This is the first time the 28-year-old naturalized striker has achieved such a high valuation in his career, since returning to play in Vietnam after his time with Vegalta Sendai in Japan where he was valued at EUR50,000.

Since playing for Thep Xanh Nam Dinh FC and then making his debut for the Vietnamese national team, his transfer value has continuously increased.

Most recently, his outstanding performance at ASEAN Cup 2024 helped the Vietnamese team win the trophy after beating Thailand 5-2 on aggregate.

Elsewhere, Filip Nguyen, a naturalised goalkeeper from the Czech Republic, ranked second on the list with a market value of EUR500,000.

Hanoi FC’s left winger Pham Tuan Hai ranked third with a transfer value of EUR400,000.

Nguyen Tien Linh of Becamex Binh Duong FC was placed in fourth position with EUR350,000, sharing the same position with striker Nguyen Quang Hai of Hanoi Police FC, right-back Ho Tuan Tai of Becamex Binh Duong FC, and centre-back Bui Hoang Viet Anh of Cong An Ha Noi FC.

Moving down the list, fifth and sixth places went to centre-back Do Duy Manh of Hanoi FC and right-winger Nguyen Van Toan of Thep Xanh Nam Dinh FC, both of whom are valued at EUR325,000 each.
