VOV.VN - World-renowned string quartet Bond arrived in Hanoi on October 4 in order to prepare for a charity concert the following day later as part of the Good Morning Vietnam series.
String quartet Bond touches down at Noi Bai International Airport at 10 a.m. on October 4, receiving a warm welcome from the organisers.
The concert "Bond Live In Vietnam" marks the second event of the Good Morning Vietnam series arranged by Nhan Dan Newspaper in collaboration with IB Group, with the ultimate aim of promoting Vietnamese tourism.
After the success of the concert "Kenny G Live In Vietnam" back in 2023, this year the organisers have invited the Bond quartet back to the country following their previous thrilling performances in 2015 and 2016.
Last year saw all of the proceeds from ticket sales of Kenny G's show go to help build hundreds of houses, whilst also assisting hundreds of poor people. The upcoming concert "Bond Live In Vietnam" is therefore expected to provide aid to people in the northern region who have been affected by typhoon Yagi.
Bond is an Australian/British string quartet which specialises in classical crossover and synth-pop music. The quartet has sold a total of five million albums worldwide.
The quartet were originally founded in 2000 and now consists of four members, including Tania Davis on the violin, Eos Counsell on the violin, Elspeth Hanson on the viola, and Gay-Yee Westerhoff on the cello.
The “Bond Live in Vietnam” concert is scheduled to take place at 8 p.m. on October 5 at the My Dinh National Convention Center, with the event expected to put on an impressive performance for music lovers in the capital to enjoy.
