Impressive real-scene art performance during HCM City’s first river festival

VOV.VN - As many as 700 performers took part in “Sài Gòn - Dòng Sông Kể Chuyện”, known as “Sai Gon - Tales of the River” in English, a real-scene art performance held on the evening of August 6 which represents the highlight of Ho Chi Minh City’s first ever river festival.
The art performance takes places on the banks of the Sai Gon River and seeks to combine traditional stage materials with modern sound and light effects, thereby creating unique experiences for viewers.
President Vo Van Thuong is joined by many Government leaders to attend the festival.
The occasion attracts the participation of around 5,000 locals and tourists.
The art performance depicts the formation and development of the Vietnamese southern hub of Saigon– Gia Dinh, which was named after President Ho Chi Minh on July 2, 1976.
The river festival opens on August 4 in Ho Chi Minh City for the first time, with the ultimate aim of boosting local tourism. The function features a series of cultural and entertainment activities related to the southern city’s waterways for locals and tourists.
The bustling scene of Sai Gon Port 160 years ago is re-enacted during the real-scene art performance.
The busy lives of youngsters are reappeared.
3D technology, a water music system, and high power laser lights, among other modern technology are used during the course of the event.
A total of 700 performers bring an impressive performance for audiences to enjoy.
