VOV.VN - The Hue International Arts Festival Week 2024 bid farewell to thousands of visitors at the closing ceremony taking place at the Kien Trung Palace of the Hue imperial citadel on June 12 evening.
The closing ceremony marked by a spetacular fireworks display features the magical ancient capital of Hue through the convergence of music, lighting, and images.
The 3D Mapping technology gives the Kien Trung Palace a makeover.
According to local authorities, the six-day festival has attracted more than 19,000 foreign arrivals and over 81,000 domestic travellers, with tourism revenue reaching VND159 billion.
Themed "Cultural Heritage with Integration and Development", the festival brings together nearly 30 art troupes from eight countries, namely France, Belgium, Spain, Canada, Japan, China, the Republic of Korea, and Vietnam.
In his closing speech, Nguyen Thanh Binh, vice chairman of the Thua Thien-Hue provincial People’s Committee, notes that though the Hue International Art Festival Week 2024 has been wrapped up, a series of art events in the autumn and winter of Hue Festival 2024 will begin and last till the end of this year.

A wide range of activities held during the week have made a good impression on visitors, including a massive light show with support from the French Embassy and the French Institute in Vietnam (IFV), bringing visitors an immersive experience in a fantasy universe of light and sound.
The festival has become one of the most successful cultural events organised in Hue city over the past 24 years.
