Ho Chi Minh City debuts cinematic-style tourism film '50 Flashes'
VOV.VN - The Ho Chi Minh City’s Department of Tourism has launched a cinematic-style tourism film '50 Flashes' to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the southern liberation and national reunification (April 30, 1975 - 2025).
'50 Flashes' tells the story of a foreign tourist who is on a journey to explore Ho Chi Minh City.
Entering an antique shop, he accidentally finds an old camera once owned by a war correspondent. While pressing the shutter, he is swept into a fantastical journey, passing through many of Ho Chi Minh City’s most iconic locations over the past 50 years.
A German actor with the Vietnamese name of Đại Ơi plays the main role in the film.
Images of Dragon Wharf and the Amiral Latouche -Tréville ship, which President Ho Chi Minh stepped onto in search of national independence, are re-enacted.
In addition, historical and cultural landmarks such as the Cu Chi Tunnels, Can Gio Mangrove Forest, Ho Chi Minh City Post Office, and the Ho Chi Minh City Museum of Fine Arts are also featured in the film.
