VOV.VN - The capital city of Hanoi and the southern metropolis of Ho Chi Minh City have become more peaceful and quiet during the National Day holiday amid large numbers of local people travelling away from urban areas for the occasion.
On the occasion of National Day on September 2, the streets around Hanoi are decorated with national flags, colourful flowers, banners, and slogans to celebrate the 79th National Day.
People enjoy the atmosphere of the national holiday whilst spending time at a café.
Hue street, which is usually buzzing with the noise of motorcycles and cars, becomes more tranquil.
Hanoians can enjoy a free service on double-decker bus tours during the national holiday period.
People take advantage of the quiet period by strolling around the street and enjoying the fresh, cool air.

Foreign visitors can feel the peaceful atmosphere in Hanoi’s Old Quarter.
