Accordingly, the tourism hub in central Vietnam welcomed 1.27 million foreign arrivals, up 42%, and served the same 1.27 million domestic holidaymakers, up 3%.

So far, the city has organised many activities in an attempt to stimulate domestic and international tourism demand. It has also sent several delegations to participate in many tourism fairs in potential markets such as India, Australia, and the Republic of Korea in order to promote the image of the coastal city.

Furthermore, the city’s Tourism Department has presented 30,000 culinary passports to tourists. Holders of these passports will receive special discounts at selected restaurants in Da Nang.

The first quarter also saw many special occasions, including the Lunar New Year (Tet) festival, Valentine’s Day, and International Women’s Day, all of which attracted a large number of locals and tourists whilst bringing a festive atmosphere to the city’s tourism industry.
