Joint bilateral relations have increasingly been strengthened over the past five decades, especially after the two countries upgraded their ties to that of a comprehensive partnership in 2013.

Since the two nations first established their diplomatic ties in 1971 and set up a comprehensive partnership in 2013, the two countries' relations have been developing more practically and effectively, Vietnamese Ambassador to Denmark Luong Thanh Nghi affirms at the event.
