VOV.VN - The third Da Nang Asian Film Festival (DANAFF III) opened in Da Nang City on June 29 evening, drawing a star-studded lineup from across Asia and Vietnam.
Korean star Park Sung Woong graces the red carpet at DANAFF III, exuding charm in a sharp tailored suit.
Born in 1973, Park began his acting career in 1997 with the film No. 3. With nearly three decades in the Korean entertainment industry, he is celebrated for his consistency and versatility in portraying a wide range of roles.
Also in attendance are actress Moon So Ri and her husband, director Jang Joon Hwan, who serves as the head of the Asian Films Jury at DANAFF III. The couple warmly greet fans and express their excitement about the films in competition.
Walking the red carpet, Dr. Ngo Phuong Lan (left), president of the Vietnam Film Development Association, says “Our objective is to foster connections among regional film industries, beginning with Asia and progressively extending to Europe, the Americas, and other major global cinema markets.”
Audrey Azoulay (fourth from right), director-general of UNESCO, also attends the DANAFF III opening ceremony as part of her working visit to Vietnam.
The red carpet sees the presence of numerous veteran artists including People’s Artists Ha Bac, Nhu Quynh, Lan Huong, and director Tat Binh.
The cast and crew of Butterfly on the Rain, directed by Duong Dieu Linh, the only Vietnamese film competing in the Asian Features category, makes a grand appearance on the red carpet.
Actress Chieu Xuan and director Trinh Lam Tung represent the crew behind Little Trạng Quỳnh: The Golden Buffalo Legend.
Director Nguyen Quang Dung (far right) arrives with the Friendzone Love film crew.
People’s Artist My Uyen and actor Minh Anh represent the mystery film Detective Kien: The Headless Case.
