VOV.VN - Thousands of people have flocked to bus stations in the capital on the final working day to queue up for tickets to go back to their hometowns over the five-day holiday period from April 30 to May 4, causing severe congestion and overcrowding.
My Dinh, Giap Bat, and Nuoc Ngam, three of the major bus stations in the capital, are packed with returnees on the final working day on April 29 before the national holiday.
On April 29, the number of passengers at Giap Bat station increases sharply compared to normal days.
Many people arrive at Giap Bat bus station at 1:30 p.m. to purchase tickets for the holidays.
The number of passengers using bus services rises sharply. Bus routes to northern provinces such as Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Dien Bien, and Hoa Binh are fully booked.
