VOV.VN - Thousands of personnel from the military and police forces gathered at Bien Hoa Airbase in southern Dong Nai province on April 11 to conduct a joint rehearsal in preparation for a military parade and procession to commemorate 50 years of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30).
This is the first in-person national-level rehearsal of the military and police forces in preparation for the V-Day anniversary.
From early morning, all the parade formations to participate in the April 30 grand ceremony gather at Air Regiment 935 of the Air Defense – Air Force Service at Bien Hoa Airbase, to carry out the joint rehearsal.
The joint rehearsal consists of two main parts - the ceremonial segment representing the rituals of the Party and the State, and the military parade featuring various armed forces units.
In addition to the marching formations, there are 13 standing formations representing the army, the militia and self-defence forces, and the police.
At 7:30 AM, the joint rehearsal begins with the ceremonial segment of the Party and the State, conducted by the armed forces.
The Air Force’s welcome flyover opens the military parade rehearsal.
Ten helicopters fly in distinct formations past the grandstand, carrying the Party and National flags.
Following them are fighter jet formations including Su-30MK2 and Yak-130 aircraft performing welcome passes and aerobatic maneuvers in the sky.

This is the first joint parade rehearsal after individual units have undergone separate training sessions at various locations across the country.
Leading the formations representing the Vietnam People’s Army and the militia are the command vehicle and the military flag escort vehicle.
Behind them, the female military band formation marches past the grandstand with resounding music.
The military parade at the grand ceremony features 36 formations of armed forces and the police, organised by the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security.
The armed forces participate in the parade with 32 formations.

Female military medical officers played a very important and irreplaceable role in the resistance war against American imperialism, as they safeguarded the health of soldiers and wounded combatants, as well as providing support to civilians in war-affected areas.
Female signal officers also played an important role during the resistance war, helping to maintain smooth and secure communication between units, commanders, and the battlefield.
During the resistance war, Northern female militia both directly engaged in combat and served as a strong support system for the front lines. They symbolized courage, patriotism, and the silent sacrifices of Vietnamese women during wartime.
Female Vietnamese officers play an increasingly important role in United Nations peacekeeping operations, demonstrating progress in gender equality and Vietnam’s positive contributions to peacekeeping missions globally.
Cavalry mobile police play an important role in maintaining order and security, protecting significant events, and ensuring safety in special situations, such as protecting key areas and locations, or assisting in crowd control during large public activities.
The joint rehearsal also sees the participation of traffic policewomen who are tasked with controlling traffic flow and ensuring traffic order and safety in everyday life.
