VOV.VN - Practicing yoga atop the sacred Yen Tu Mountain at an altitude of 1,068 meters and immersing in the breathtaking sea of clouds surrounding Dong (Bronze) Pagoda in the early autumn morning offers pilgrims a truly unique and serene experience.
Yen Tu, a renowned mountain and spiritual site in Quang Ninh province, captivates visitors with its historical significance and breathtaking landscapes. This serene destination, embraced by stunning mountainous scenery and a refreshing climate, has become a sought-after spiritual retreat for travelers seeking tranquility.
Before 5 a.m., dozens of pilgrims have set foot on the mountain peak at the height of 1,068m above sea level. This is one part of a tour to discover Dong Pagoda at dawn which has begun to serve tourists in autumn during the Yen Tu festival between October and December.
The early morning air on the mountain peak is a bit chilly and fresh, making everyone feel calm and relax. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh from Hong Gai ward, Quang Ninh, shares that she feels as if she blends into nature. After practicing yoga, she and other tourists enjoy drinking tea and watching the sunrise.
From Dong Pagoda, visitors are treated to panoramic views of the majestic northeast landscapes, often shrouded in mist.
At 7 a.m., many young people reach the top of the mountain together, seeking their own private corners to immerse themselves into breathtaking sea of clouds.
Everyone takes the opportunity to capture the rare and beautiful moments. Nguyen Minh Hieu, a tourist from Hanoi, says that although he has been to Yen Tu for many times, this is the first time he has witnessed the autumn sunrise from the top of the sacred mountain. In just a few minutes, the sea of clouds come and then disappear, making his experience truly different.
The Yen Tu-Vinh Nghiem-Con Son and Kiep Bac Complex of Monuments and Landscapes is a UNESCO-recognised World Cultural Heritage site, celebrated for its rich tapestry of monuments and scenic locations. This remarkable site encompasses 12 monuments selected from hundreds of relics across six special national heritage sites in Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh and Hai Phong.
A tourist is eager to discover the beauty at the top of Yen Tu Mt. in early morning this autumn.
In addition, tourists can participate in a series of exciting activities to discover the Buddhist culture, enjoy music shows, and participate in folk games.
Autumn festival in Yen Tu will last for three months till December 2025.
