VOV.VN - Over 30,000 people came together to sing the national anthem at the “Proud to Be Vietnamese” concert at My Dinh National Stadium in Hanoi, creating sacred moments on the evening of August 17 in celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day.
The My Dinh National Stadium in Hanoi on August 17 turns into a sea of red flags with yellow stars in a special concert themed “Tự hào là người Việt Nam” (Proud to Be Vietnamese).
The concert is organised by the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee’s Commission for Information and Education in co-ordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Hanoi municipal People’s Committee, and Vietnam Television to mark the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day.
More than 500 celebrated artists dazzle millions of viewers at special concert
The highlight of the concert is a performance of the national anthem put on by singer Tung Duong and a 200-member choir.
When the national flag is solemnly hoisted during the performance, all 30,000 attendees at the stadium solemnly stand up and join their voices to sing the national anthem.
Ta Ngoc Ai, 77, a veteran from Bac Giang, (C) says that standing amid thousands of young people and singing the national anthem together makes him feel the pride of being Vietnamese more deeply than ever.
A display of artistic fireworks during the concert draws the attention of many young people.

The concert features renowned performers such as Tung Duong, Hoa Minzy, Duong Hoang Yen, the Bức Tường (Wall) rock band, and Oplus band.
