VOV.VN - Winners of a tourism promotion photo contest which ran with the theme of “Amazing Vietnam” are being exhibited in Hanoi in order to mark the 78th anniversary of the culture sector on August 28, as well as celebrating National Day on September 2.

The contest was first launched on December 21, 2022. The contestants, who included Vietnamese citizens and expats living in the country, were able to submit their photos online before June 6, 2023. The organisers received a total of 13,279 artworks submitted by 1,032 photographers nationwide.

A total of 11 winners are announced as part of the contest, including one first prize, two second prizes, and three third prizes. The contest aims to promote the country’s tourism industry in the post-COVID period, as well as attracting more domestic and international tourists.

As many as 175 photographs are selected to be put on display at an exhibition in Hanoi. The first prize goes to a photograph of Ho Chi Minh City at night by author Nguyen Dang Viet Cuong.
