Truong Tien bridge is the oldest bridge spanning the Hương (Perfume) River. It was built in 1899 under the reign of King Thanh Thai. The bridge was designed and constructed by the French company Eiffel and has a length of about 402.6 metres.
The romantic and tranquil beauty emanating from Truong Tien bridge captivates many visitors.
At night the bridge shimmers under the glare of the LED lighting system.
Phu Xuan bridge showcases the development of Hue city since 1975, with structure connecting the city center with the western area and National Highway 1A.
The bridge stretches for 433 metres in length and sits 24 metres wide, helping to link Hue city and neighbouring localities.
Standing on Phu Xuan bridge, visitors can admire the gentle beauty of the Perfume River. They also see Hue Citadel, the majestic Ngo Mon (Meridian) Gate, or graceful Truong Tien bridge.
