In a short video uploaded to Instagram, Thuy expressed her gratitude for the time she had spent at the club.

“I hope everyone will stay healthy, strong and continue to fight for their goals. Wish everyone the best. Goodbye Gresik Petrokimia," she wrote.

During her stay at the Indonesian side, Thanh Thuy was given the opportunity to compete in the Indonesian National Volleyball Championship (Proliga) and was in good form.

She played a total of seven matches with Gresik Petrokimia, winning two matches with the team in fifth place in the Proliga rankings.

This marks the second consecutive time this season that Thanh Thuy has ended her contract with a foreign team early. Previously, she also departed Turkish club Kuzeyboru ahead of schedule for various personal reasons.

The 27-year-old player is expected to return home to play for VTV Binh Dien Long An club.
