The Warriors team featured Dang Thai Hung, Pham Nhat Thai Quang, Nguyen Anh Hao, and Le Hoang Quen in their line-up and had a good start as they secured a surprise victory over the hosts New House 13-11.

They then progress further as they defeated Adec from Cuba 20-7 in the semi-final round. The Vietnamese players then trounced Libertadores Phygital from Venezuela 35-31 in their final game to go on and lift the trophy for the first time.

The Warriors were the only Vietnamese team to take part in the invitational basketball event which gathered together other clubs from Cuba, Colombia, Venezuela, Turkmenistan, and the host nation Russia.
