VOV.VN - After suffering a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Indonesia in the third match of Group F in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers on March 21, Vietnam have fallen a total of seven places in the FIFA world ranking update, according to Football-ranking.
Due to the loss, Vietnam were deducted 15.37 points, dropping from 105th to 112nd, and are now on 1,179.21 points.
Previously, after suffering failure in the last match of the Asian Cup against Iraq, the Vietnamese national football team also lost their leading position in Southeast Asia to Thailand.

Meanwhile, thanks to the victory over Vietnam, Indonesia climbed four spots to reach 134th position.
Elsewhere, Thailand made a successful comeback to secure a 1-1 draw against the Republic of Korea in the World Cup qualifiers in Seoul on the same day.
