VFF shortlisted in two categories at AFC Awards Riyadh 2025

VOV.VN -The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) has been nominated in two categories at the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Awards Riyadh 2025, scheduled for October 16 in Saudi Arabia.
VFF is vying for the AFC Member Association of the Year (Diamond), alongside the Chinese Football Association and the Football Association of Thailand. The nomination highlights outstanding achievements by football federations in 2025.
It has also been named a contender for the AFC President’s Recognition Awards for Grassroots Football (Bronze), joining the Bangladesh Football Federation and the Northern Mariana Islands Football Association on the shortlist. This award recognizes federations that promote community football and encourage wider public participation in sports.
The AFC Awards is the most prestigious annual event in Asian football, honoring teams and individuals for their exceptional contributions and achievements during the season.
This year’s 29th edition will be held in Saudi Arabia for the first time, with the gala ceremony taking place at the King Fahad Cultural Center on October 16. A total of 20 award categories will be presented.
