VOV.VN - Thousands of tourists flocked to Bien Hoa City in Dong Nai province on April 27 for the 2025 Dong Nai Hot Air Balloon Festival, the largest event of its kind ever held in Vietnam, which marks the start of celebrations for the 50th anniversary of the southern liberation and national reunification (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2025).

Visitors are treated to a performance of a hot air balloon carrying a 50 square-metre wide national flag to officially open the festival.

Visitors can enjoy free admission, experience tethered balloon rides up to 50 metres high, and explore the inside of the balloons.

The hot air balloon festival is due to last through to April 30, featuring morning flights from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and afternoon flights from 4:00 p.m. 6:00 p.m.
