VOV.VN - The seal opening ceremony at the Tran temple in the northern province of Nam Dinh took place on the night of February 11, attracting a large number of residents and visitors.
The seal opening ceremony represents an important occasion held at the Tran Temple on the 14th day of the first lunar month annually, featuring many activities such as incense offering and a seal palanquin procession from Co Trach temple to Thien Truong temple.
Local authorities respectfully offer incense to commemorate the ancestors of the Tran Dynasty. The seal opening ceremony is held every year at the beginning of spring to pray for peace and prosperity in the country and for its people.
The event opens with a seal parade, before the seal is then distributed to nine pagodas, temples, and visitors.

Ceremonies are solemnly held in accordance with traditional rituals.
After the procession, the seals are distributed to the public from 5 a.m. on the 15th day until the end of the first lunar month with the hope of good luck and happiness.
An incense offering ceremony to the Tran Kings takes place at Thien Truong temple.
Despite enduring a cold spell, hordes of people and tourists gather together outside of Tran temple.
After the ceremony, barriers are removed to allow visitors to enter the temple to offer incense.
According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nam Dinh, it is estimated that during the event there will be about 180,000 visitors heading to the locality.
