VOV.VN - Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City has been bustling in recent days as people await the return of their overseas Vietnamese relatives for the upcoming Lunar New Year, known locally as Tet.
Many flights from Japan, Dubai, the Netherlands, and several Southeast Asian countries have landed at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in recent days, carrying plenty of passengers who are Vietnamese nationals living abroad.
People wait for their overseas Vietnamese relatives at the arrival hall of the international terminal at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City.
The airport has become crowded as Tet comes near.
At the peak time from January 26 to February 24, the airport is estimated to welcome 860 to 900 flights carrying around 135,000 to 140,000 passengers each day.

The return of overseas Vietnamese brings immense joy to local families as all members have chance to celebrate Tet together this year.
From January 22 to January 24, Tan Son Nhat International Airport receives more than 400 international flights, bringing nearly 68,000 passengers through its arrival gates.
