VOV.VN - Despite a busy schedule during his official visit to Vietnam, Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong was able to share several photos of his meetings with Vietnamese senior leaders and photos taken by himself at sightseeing spots around Hanoi on his Facebook page.
“A busy first full day in Vietnam. Laid a wreath at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum in the morning before my meeting with PM Pham Minh Chinh,” Singaporean PM Loong writes on Facebook.
On his page, PM Loong shows sincere thanks to his counterpart Pham Minh Chinh for the warm welcome in Vietnam.
“PM Chinh and I witnessed the signing of 7 MOUs covering areas of the green economy, innovation, and skills development. A big thank you to the respective ministries and organisations for their hard work in the leadup to these agreements which will bring about closer collaboration between our two countries,” the Singaporean Government leader notes.
“I hosted Communist Party of Vietnam General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong in Singapore back in 2012, and called on him in Hanoi in 2017. Glad to meet him again,” he shares.
“Took the chance to reconnect with President Vo Van Thuong, whom I had met in 2013 at a VSIP ground-breaking in Quang Ngai province, when he was the Provincial Party Secretary,” he says.
During a meeting held with Chairman of the National Assembly (NA) Vuong Dinh Hue, both sides reaffirm the close ties that between the two countries, as well as spending time to discuss regional and international developments.
“For many Singaporeans as well as visitors to Singapore, ice cream sandwich sellers are a common sight. This can now be found in Vietnam, where they are called “kem kẹp”. Hopefully the Vietnamese enjoy this icy treat as much as we do!,” PM Loong writes while posting a photograph taken by himself.
A view of Thê Húc bridge, painted in bright red, along the shore of Hoàn Kiếm lake, is taken by Singaporean Government chief.
“Visited the Ngọc Sơn Temple, which can be reached after crossing Thê Húc Bridge. The temple was built in the 19th century in honour of Tran Hung Dao – a military commander of great renown during the Tran Dynasty,” the leader shares on Facebook.
“I last visited Hanoi in 2018, and I am glad for the opportunity to meet up with the Vietnamese leadership – reconnecting with old friends and making new ones,” Singaporean PM Loong writes on his Facebook page.
