Those welcoming the Vietnamese State leader and his delegation include Senior Minister in charge of General Affairs of the Ministry of the Royal Palace Kuy Sophal, Minister of Tourism Sok Soken, Cambodian Ambassador to Vietnam Chea Kimtha, and Vietnamese Ambassador to Cambodia Nguyen Huy Tang, officials of the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs alongside Vietnamese Embassy staff in Cambodia.
Many Vietnamese expats in Cambodia wave national flags and flowers on the main streets to welcome President To Lam.
The July 12-13 Cambodia visit by State President To Lam takes place on the occasion of the 57th anniversary of Vietnam-Cambodia diplomatic ties (June 24).
Locals hold art performances to welcome President To Lam and his entourage.

This is the first visit to Cambodia by President To Lam after being elected by the Vietnamese National Assembly to hold a new position.
