VOV.VN - Vietnamese people from Hanoi and other localities have lined up along streets leading to the National Funeral House to pay their respects to Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong who passed away in Hanoi on July 19.
From very early in the morning, people converge on assembly points in front of the National Funeral House to wait for their turn to burn incense and say their final goodbyes to General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
To enter the funeral house, mourners are required to scan their ID cards.
Mourners are guided to scan their ID cards by relevant forces.
Many of the mourners have never had the opportunity to meet the General Secretary in person, but they all respect and have a lot of affection for him.
“For competent leaders like General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, I would like to come to burn incense and say goodbye to him one last time,” says Nguyen Thi Luu, 76 from Hai Phong city.

People are allowed to view the casketed body in the afternoon.
