In the capital city of Hanoi, roads leading to the pedestrian area around Hoan Kiem Lake, particularly near venues for the New Year Countdown Festival 2025 at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square and the August Revolution Square, are crowded with New Year revelers.
In Hoan Kiem District, two fireworks display locations have been set up in front of the headquarters of the Hanoi Moi Newspaper and the Hanoi Post Office. These areas have been cordoned off to ensure the safety of spectators during the New Year’s Eve fireworks show.
In Nam Tu Liem District, people have gathered at the third fireworks site to immerse themselves in a festive atmosphere.
New Year celebrations in Ho Chi Minh City are particularly marked by the City Tet Fest Thu Duc 2025 which is not only a music party but also a place where young people embrace the Tet spirit and find themselves through creative community activities.
Featuring vibrant communities such as hip-hop, X-Games, visual arts, and traditional cuisine, the festival is an ideal meeting place for those sharing similar passions.
In Da Nang City, aside from the Welcome New Year 2025 Festival at the East Sea Park, other events such as a New Year’s Eve music programme have been held at Tran Thi Ly Bridge’s eastern park, Bach Dang Walking Street, and Dragon Bridge. These events have attracted large crowds of locals and tourists.
The “Christmas and New Year 2025 Festival” in Da Nang, lasting from December 20, 2024 to January 2, 2025 has drawn a significant number of visitors eager to enjoy and experience the festivities.
In Binh Duong, many people have gathered to watch preparations for the Hot Air Balloon Festival. According to the Cultural Information and Sports Center of Thu Dau Mot City, the festival has featured 12 hot air balloons.
The permitted hot air balloons have been classified as mini level-1, made of fabric, with a height of 10 meters and a diameter of 5.5-6.5 meters. These balloons would ascend no higher than 50 meters above the ground and remain stationary, securely tethered to the ground.
In Hue City, a Countdown Hue 2025 Art Program has taken place at the intersection of Vo Nguyen Giap and Van Tien Dung streets in the new An Van Duong urban area.
This year, the local government and residents of Hue City welcome the New Year with special excitement, as Thua Thien Hue Province has officially become a centrally governed city, filling everyone with joy and pride.
In Sa Pa, Lao Cai Province, a New Year 2025 celebration has been held, coinciding with the fifth anniversary of Sa Pa's establishment as a town under a resolution by the National Assembly Standing Committee, effective January 1, 2020.
The programme starts at 8:00 PM and continues until midnight, culminating in a countdown and fireworks display to welcome the New Year.
