VOV.VN - The New Zealand Herald (NZ Herald) online newspaper recently described Hoi An as one of Vietnam’s most beautiful destinations and well worth a visit as the charming ‘yellow town’ is etched full of history, colour, and charm.

Writer Katie Lockhart suggested some of the best things to do in Hoi An, including sampling coffee. The stellar coffee scene in Hoi An is among the most favourite things. Indeed, there are endless places to sit down for a Vietnamese coffee, including Good Eats for a coconut coffee, Godiva for a salted coffee, and The Hill Station for a cà phê sữa đá (iced Vietnamese coffee with sweetened condensed milk).

Tailor-made souvenirs are famous in the town because historically Hoi An has been known as a former trading port, with silks and fabrics becoming an important part of life.

Particularly, Hoi An has been dubbed a feast of world-famous street food. Although travelers can find plenty of tasty bites and bowls throughout the town, one street has them all.

Going to Tran Cao Van street is great to buy delicacies such as bánh mì (baguette) from the famous Madam Khanh-Banh Mi Queen. Then, guests can walk across the street for cao lầu (Hoi An’s sacred noodle dish) at Cao lầu Lien. If tourists have still got room, then they can walk a few metres to Mì Quảng 92 for the best version of this turmeric-broth regional dish, NZ Herald wrote.

The foreign media also recommended Anantara Hoi An Resort as the perfect place to stay. Its riverfront venue is only a short walk into Old Town which makes it especially convenient.

Furthermore, NZ Herald suggested getting around town by bike or car. Hoi An is a small town, so getting around by foot is a great way of seeing it. Other options include using the hotel bicycle to ride around. For travelers going further afield, they can use the Grab app to book a car or a motorbike.
