VOV.VN - The Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front inaugurated a photo exhibition in Hanoi on October 16 showcasing the great national unity bloc of Vietnam, as part of the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2024-2029 term.
Among delegates present at the inauguration ceremony are Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary and President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Do Van Chien, and Party Central Committee member and head of the Party Central Committee’s Mass Mobilization Commission Mai Van Chinh.
In his opening remarks, Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Nguyen Huu Dung states that the exhibition is an activity to welcome the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, a significant political event for the great national unity.
Over the past 94 years, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Vietnam Fatherland Front has continually grown, adapting to different revolutionary periods with various forms of organization and names. It has made significant contributions to the great revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation, playing a crucial role in reinforcing and promoting the strength of national unity. With 385 photos on display, the exhibition illustrates activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at various levels and its member organizations during the 2019-2024 term, as well as celebrating the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2024-2029 term.
The pictures vividly and clearly depict the Vietnam Fatherland Front as a place that gathers and promotes the strength of national unity, serving as a solid bridge between the various strata of the people across the country and their compatriots abroad with the Party and the State. In the photo, Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee President Do Van Chien and delegates visit the exhibition.
The displayed images are expected to help visitors to feel proud and confident, dedicating themselves to building and promoting the strength of national unity, towards the goal of a prosperous people, a strong nation, and a fair, democratic and civilized society.
With its rich history, the Vietnam Fatherland Front takes pride in its mission, affirming its role and position as a political alliance and voluntary union of political, socio-political, and social organizations, and outstanding individuals from various classes, social strata, ethnic groups, religions, and Vietnamese citizens living abroad.
The exhibition is divided into three sections, with the first featuring images of the heads of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee throughout different periods and national congresses; the second showcasing the results of implementing the resolutions from the 9th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2019-2024 term; and the third illustrating the activities of member organizations of the Front.
Delegates visit the exhibition before entering discussions on October 16 to approve the working agenda and regulations of the Congress.
The 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2024-2029 term is scheduled to officially open in Hanoi on October 17.
