VOV.VN - The Mekong Delta province of Kien Giang has been named among the Top 10 Most Welcoming Places on Earth, according to Booking.com, one of the world’s leading digital travel companies.
In its 13th edition of the annual Traveller Review Awards, Booking.com notes Kien Giang joins a diverse selection of incredible destinations from across the globe in being recognised for their exceptional hospitality.
“Nestled in the Mekong Delta, Kien Giang captivates visitors with its stunning natural beauty, including pristine beaches, lush mangrove forests, and the renowned Phu Quoc Island,” Booking.com reveals.
Beyond its breathtaking landscapes, the locality invites travelers to delve into various unique traditions, savour local delicacies, and immerse themselves in the warm hospitality of its people.
“This recognition is a testament to the dedication of Kien Giang's accommodation providers in offering outstanding service and showcasing the region's unique beauty and charm,” the company stresses.
Rounding off the list are Osijek-Baranja of Croatia, Kakheti of Georgia, Madeira of Portugal, Misiones of Argentina, Graubünden of Switzerland, South Australia, Brittany of France, Baja California Sur of Mexico, and Drenthe of the Netherlands.
Based on over 360 million verified customer reviews, the annual Traveller Review Awards honours travel partners who consistently deliver both outstanding hospitality and service and make travel experiences more memorable for visitors.
This year sees a record-breaking 1.71 million partners recognised, a 16% increase compared to the previous year. This includes 1,711,539 accommodation locations, 1,329 rental companies, and 124 taxi providers.
In Vietnam, a total of 13,003 partners were awarded, including 6,502 in the Homes category, up from 11,360 properties in 2024.
