VOV.VN - A 21-gun salute was given to Indonesian President Joko Widodo at a welcoming ceremony hosted by State President Vo Van Thuong on January 12 at the Presidential Palace in Hanoi.

Indonesian President Widodo pays a State visit to Vietnam from January 11 to January 13 at the invitation of President Vo Van Thuong. The visit is of great significance as both nations celebrate the 68th anniversary of diplomatic ties and the 10th anniversary of their strategic partnership.

Since its establishment on December 30, 1955, bilateral relations and multifaceted co-operation between both sides has been nurtured and developed by generations of leaders and peoples of the two countries.
