VOV.VN - Many residents of the capital lined up to experience a double-decker train named “Hà Nội 5 cửa ô” (Five Gates Train) which debuted on August 19 on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and the National Day (September 2).
For the first time, the five ancient gates associated with the history of the city, Quan Chuong, Cau Den, Dong Mac, Cau Giay, and Cho Dua, have been named to five compartments.
The unique double-decker train is set to travel throughout the capital’s historic places.

Each carriage is adorned full of wooden interiors, featuring the vintage decoration.
The train officially operates from August 19, with three trips per day, departing from Hanoi Station via Long Bien, Gia Lam, Yen Vien, and Tu Son-Bac Ninh stations, before then returning.
The departure times are 8 a.m., 2 p.m., and 8:30 p.m., giving passengers a variety of options between daytime or nighttime travel.
Large windows allow passengers to enjoy panoramic views of the city.
Each carriage combines vintage decoration with contemporary amenities, thereby reflecting Hanoi's timeless charm.
