VOV.VN - A range of Halloween toys and decorations have been put on sale on Hang Ma street in Hanoi’s Old Quarter as the festival draws near.
Originally a festival celebrated in the West, Halloween falls on October 31 annually. Customers can purchase festive items weeks before Halloween, with a wide range of toys going on sale, including pumpkins and costumes. Decorative items and Halloween-themed toys are available to purchase at all shops in Hang Ma street, as well as souvenir shops located in downtown Hanoi. Pumpkin-shaped lanterns are always the most popular item on sale. Children carry them to travel from house to house, asking for treats using the phrase "Trick or treat". Decorative items such as pumpkin lanterns, effigies, and spooky statues prove popular among restaurants, cafés, and fashion shops. Pictured is the most sought after costume for the Halloween season. Many fun items can be seen on display around the area. Shoppers can discover plenty of eye-catching items on sale during Halloween. Pumpkin-shaped lanterns can be purchased for VND50,000 to VND100,000 each. Shops located in Hanoi’s Old Quarter have a vast range of Halloween items on sale, with prices ranging from tens of thousands of VND to millions of VND. Among children, princess’ dresses, superman outfits, and witches’ costumes prove to be the most popular items.
