VOV.VN - On May 5 evening, Dien Bien Phu city in the northern province of Dien Bien teemed with spectators who were eager to witness a drone performance put on in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory over French colonialism.

On March 13, 1954, the Vietnamese revolutionary army launched its first attack against the French colonialists’ heavily fortified base at Dien Bien Phu, starting a 56-day historic campaign whose ultimate victory directly led to the signing of the Geneva Accords on ending the war and restoring peace in Indochina.
